Taskforce Team Apprehends Notorious Marching Ground Gangster in Makurdi

The Taskforce team on Illegal Levies and other related forms of Illegalities and criminality has apprehended a notorious Marching Ground gangster, identified as Mr. Ade Simon Kator, in Makurdi, Benue State. The suspect allegedly collected N500,000 from Pastor Ogbu Emmanuel, the Pastor in charge of "Again and Afresh Church", located at behind Hotel Lucia Achusa Makurdi, Benue State.



According to reports, Mr. Ade Simon Kator collected the money as Marching Ground fee, and instigated the Youth of the settlement to harass site engineers and halt the development process of the Church. The hoodlums even intercepted a prayer session, prompting the Pastor to seek help.

The Taskforce team responded promptly to a distress call and apprehended Mr. Ade Simon Kator, who confessed to committing the crime. The suspect has been handed over to the Police Area Command, Makurdi, Benue State, for onward prosecution and detention.

The Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Executive Governor of Benue State on Youth Organization and Illegal Levies, Hon. Gbenda Terver, has advised Benue Youth to desist from such acts, warning that they will face the full wrath of the law if they continue to engage in unlawful activities. He also charged the public to partner with the Taskforce team in the fight against criminality and illegality by reporting suspicious activities.

The apprehension of Mr. Ade Simon Kator is a significant step towards addressing the menace of Marching Ground and other related forms of Illegalities and criminality in Benue State. The Taskforce team's efforts to combat these issues are commendable, and the public is encouraged to support their efforts by reporting suspicious activities.
