Plateau State Government Launches Initiative to Support Farmers in Crisis-Affected Areas

Jos, Plateau State - The Plateau State Government has launched an initiative to support farmers in crisis-affected areas through the Plateau Agricultural Mechanisation Services Corporation (PAMSCO). The corporation has commenced providing free agricultural services to farmers in communities affected by crisis in Mangu, Bokkos, Barki Ladi, and other areas.



According to the General Manager of PAMSCO, Engr. Shirji Irmiya Gokwat, "This initiative is a crucial step towards supporting our farmers who have been affected by crisis. We are committed to providing them with the necessary support to boost their productivity and improve their livelihoods.

The initiative is part of the state government's ambitious plan to cultivate 7,000 hectares of land across the state. The goal is to increase food production and improve the livelihoods of farmers. Farmers who have benefited from the free services have expressed gratitude to the state government for the support.

"We are grateful to the state government for this initiative," said a farmer in Mangu. "It has come at a critical time when we need it most. The free agricultural services have helped us to increase our productivity and improve our livelihoods."

The Plateau State Government has emphasized the importance of agriculture in the state's economy and is committed to providing support to farmers. The government has recognized the potential of agriculture to drive economic growth and improve the livelihoods of citizens.
