Malaria Elimination in Kaduna State: Stakeholders Unite to Review Progress and Strategize

The Kaduna State Ministry of Health, under the Malaria Elimination Program (SMEP), in collaboration with partners, has taken a significant step in the fight against malaria. The ministry recently held the Quarter 2 Malaria Sub-Committee Meeting under the Health Security Technical Working Group (TWG), bringing together key stakeholders to review progress, discuss strategies, and plan for future interventions.



The meeting aimed to:

- Review progress on malaria interventions

- Discuss the just-concluded integrated ITN/SMC Integrated Campaign

- Review progress on the statewide malaria household survey

- Strategize collaboratively on malaria elimination efforts

The forum emphasized the importance of strong partnerships, teamwork, and data-driven planning in the fight against malaria in Kaduna State. The meeting highlighted the commitment of the Kaduna State Government, under the leadership of Governor Uba Sani, to achieving a Malaria-Free Kaduna.
