Kano Commissioner Warns Youths Against Drug Abuse, Pledges Government's Commitment to Security
The Kano State Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, Hon. Comrade Ibrahim A. Waiya, has advised young people to avoid drug abuse and other destructive activities that could jeopardize their future. The Commissioner made this call while attending the Kano Youth Summit on Drug Abuse and Life Opportunities, held at the main hall of the late Alhaji Aminu Dantata, at Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu University Nigeria (KAIRUN).
Comrade Waiya emphasized that the youth remain the pillar of Kano's future and urged them to embrace meaningful opportunities and constructive pursuits rather than fall into habits that could derail their lives. He encouraged young people to take advantage of available opportunities and to focus on building a bright future for themselves and their community.
The Commissioner reaffirmed the commitment of the Kano State Government under the leadership of His Excellency Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf to intensify efforts in tackling violence, phone theft, and other security challenges across the state. He stated that the government is resolute in creating a safer Kano for all, and that the active participation of young people is crucial to achieving this goal.
