Delta State Police Command Investigates Viral Video Alleging Misconduct

The Delta State Police Command has launched a full-scale investigation into a viral video alleging misconduct by officers attached to the Ebrumede Division, Warri Area Command. The video, which features a man identifying himself as "DJ Young," has been circulating on social media platforms, prompting the command to take swift action.



The Commissioner of Police, CP Olufemi Abaniwonda, has condemned the alleged incident and assured the public that any form of abuse or unprofessional conduct by police officers will not be tolerated. He has directed an immediate and thorough investigation into the matter and encouraged the victim, "DJ Young," to contact the command through the Complaint Response Unit's dedicated numbers.

CP Abaniwonda emphasized the command's commitment to justice, transparency, and accountability, assuring the public that no act of misconduct will be condoned under any circumstances. He has tasked officers and men to uphold the tenets of professional policing in the discharge of their duties and conduct themselves in accordance with the law and the established code of conduct of the Force.
