Adeleke Flags Off Road Projects Amid Criticisms, Affirms Commitment to Osun's Development

Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State is set to flag off the dualization of Ila Orangun township road and the second phase of Osogbo-Ikirun-Ila Odo Kwara State Boundary road dualization. This development comes despite attempts by some politicians to distract the governor with unsubstantiated statements on national television.


Governor Adeleke has remained focused on his administration's infrastructure upgrade and delivery of good governance in Osun State. He expressed his commitment to pushing ahead with his administration's projects, despite misrepresentations and misinformation by some critics.

The governor highlighted the positive transformation of Osun State under his administration, citing several reports by federal agencies and non-governmental groups that have rated Osun high across various indices. He listed several awards won by the state in areas such as infrastructure revolution, health sector excellence, and digital economy innovation.

Governor Adeleke also highlighted the state's fiscal transparency, noting that Osun State ranked 5th out of 36 states in the national table on states' fiscal transparency for the first quarter of 2025. He emphasized that his administration is transparent, accountable, and compliant with due process requirements.

The governor will flag off the dualization of Ila Orangun township road and the second phase of Osogbo-Ikirun-Okuku highway dualization next week. The project is expected to benefit the people of Ila Orangun, Ifelodun, and Odo Otin local governments.

Governor Adeleke's commitment to his administration's projects and his focus on delivering good governance to the people of Osun State is evident in his determination to push ahead with the road dualization projects. Despite attempts to distract him, the governor remains focused on transforming Osun State and improving the lives of its citizens.
