Abia State Govt Warns Against PVC Information Scam

The Abia State Government has issued a warning against politicians who are allegedly deploying agents to various wards to fraudulently obtain information contained on the Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) of unsuspecting rural dwellers. The scammers are reportedly offering N10,000 each to the victims, under the guise of creating a non-existent e-wallet for empowerments.

The government is committed to providing support to its citizens and promoting their well-being.

The government will not hesitate to take action against anyone who attempts to compromise the integrity of the electoral process or exploit vulnerable citizens. The government is determined to ensure that the electoral process is free, fair, and transparent.

The government advises Abians, especially rural dwellers, to distance themselves from any individual or group who may approach them for the purpose of obtaining information contained on their PVCs or any other personal information that may disenfranchise or endanger them. Citizens are encouraged to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the authorities.

The government is committed to protecting the rights of its citizens and ensuring that their personal information is not compromised. The government will take all necessary measures to prevent the compromise of PVCs and ensure the integrity of the electoral process.
