The Northcentral Caucus of the Nigerian Youth Parliament Condemns Deadly Attack in Benue State

 The Northcentral Caucus of the Nigerian Youth Parliament has expressed deep sorrow and condemnation over the recent massacre of over 200 innocent people by suspected herdsmen militia in Yelwata Town, Guma Local Government Area of Benue State.



In a statement signed by Suleiman Moshood Omeiza, Leader of the Northcentral Caucus, the group extended heartfelt condolences to the people of Benue State, particularly Hon. Joseph Egwurube Idenyi and Hon. Dooshima Deborah Aku, representatives of Benue South and North Senatorial Districts, respectively.

The Nigerian Youth Parliament, calling on the Federal Government, Benue State Government, and security agencies to take swift and decisive action to probe the incident. Apprehend the perpetrators of this heinous crime and urgently deploy personnel to affected areas to prevent further loss of lives and ensure resident safety.

The group prayed for God to comfort bereaved families, grant eternal rest to the departed souls, and heal the wounded and broken-hearted. They emphasized that every Nigerian life matters and urged an end to bloodshed, restoration of peace, and overcoming of security challenges in the nation.
