NHRC Strengthens Partnership with Katsina Local Government

The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) Katsina branch paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of Katsina Local Government, Hon. Isah Miqdad AD Saude, on June 24, 2025. The visit aimed to foster collaboration in promoting human rights and access to legal services across the local government area.



The NHRC expressed interest in partnering with the local government to provide legal aid and human rights advocacy for residents.

The Commission requested the Chairman's support in furnishing their newly established office in Katsina with essential office equipment to enhance operations and service delivery.


Hon. Isah Miqdad AD Saude commended the NHRC's efforts and reaffirmed the local government's commitment to supporting human rights initiatives.

He assured the delegation of the Council's readiness to collaborate on human rights-related matters and pledged to assist the Commission in fulfilling its mandate.
