Kaduna Governor Demands Justice for Victims of Plateau Attack
Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has strongly condemned the killing of 12 Kaduna State citizens in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State. The victims were traveling to Quan Pan Local Government for a wedding ceremony when they were attacked, leaving 11 others injured.
Governor Sani described the incident as an act of savagery and demanded that the perpetrators be brought to justice. He called on security agencies to leave no stone unturned in hunting down the criminals and ensuring they face the law.
The Governor urged Plateau State Governor, Barrister Caleb Mutfwang, to take full charge of the situation and direct security operations until the murderers are apprehended. He also pledged to personally follow up on the investigations and field operations.
Governor Sani extended his deepest condolences to the families of the victims and assured them that all necessary steps would be taken to ensure justice is served. He also promised to provide adequate medical attention to the injured victims.
The Governor highlighted Kaduna State's progress in peace building and conflict transformation, citing the Kaduna Peace Model as an example of what can be achieved with political will and commitment. He expressed hope that a similar approach could be adopted in Plateau State to bring an end to the bloodshed .
