Iran has launched a missile attack on US military bases in Qatar and Iraq

Iran has launched a missile attack on US military bases in Qatar and Iraq, in response to a US airstrike on three Iranian nuclear sites over the weekend. The attack targeted the Al-Udeid Air Base in Qatar, which serves as the headquarters for United States Central Command (CENTCOM) and houses around 10,000 US troops.

Iran launched six missiles on US air bases in Qatar and Iraq, with Qatar's air defenses successfully intercepting the missiles and preventing any casualties or damage.

The US airstrike, ordered by President Donald Trump, targeted three key nuclear facilities in Iran, including Natanz, Isfahan, and Fordow, claiming to have "obliterated" these sites.

Qatar's Foreign Ministry condemned the attack, calling it a "flagrant violation of Qatar's sovereignty, its airspace, and international law".

The White House and Department of Defense are closely monitoring the situation, with President Trump convening a meeting with his national security team to discuss the developments.

The attack has escalated tensions between the US and Iran, which have been adversaries since the 1979 Islamic revolution.

The missile strikes have raised concerns about regional stability, with several Gulf states, including Saudi Arabia, condemning the attack and calling for an immediate end to all military activities.
