Imo State Government Announces New Date for State of the State Address
The Imo State Government has announced a new date for the State of the State Address, which will be delivered by Governor Senator Hope Uzodimma. The address will now be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2025.
According to a statement by Hon. Declan Emelumba, Honourable Commissioner for Information, Public Orientation and Strategy, the event will take place at the Imo State House of Assembly Complex in New Owerri. The timing for the address has been set for 12:00 noon.
A wide range of stakeholders have been invited to attend the event, including:
1. All political office holders at both national and state levels
2. Political leaders, including party executives across all political parties
3. Leaders of professional bodies, such as the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) and the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA)
4. Leaders of trade unions
5. Religious leaders
6. Local Government President-Generals of town unions in the 27 Local Government Areas (LGAs)
7. Eze Imo and Chairmen of Local Government Traditional Rulers’ Councils in the 27 LGAs
8. Members of the Elders’ Council
9. Leaders of youth organizations
10. Leaders of market associations
11. Leaders of transport workers
12. Leaders of civil society organisations
All invited guests are expected to be seated 30 minutes before the arrival of Governor Senator Hope Uzodimma.
