Governor Inuwa Yahaya Hails President Tinubu for Establishing Federal Institutions in Gombe State

Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has expressed his profound gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for signing into law two landmark bills establishing a Federal College of Education (Special) in Dukku and a Federal Orthopedic Hospital in Billiri.

Governor Inuwa Yahaya described the presidential assent as a demonstration of responsive and inclusive leadership that will have a lasting impact on education and healthcare in Gombe State and the North-East subregion. He commended the President for the historic gesture, saying it will enhance access to quality education and specialized healthcare, create employment, and stimulate development in the state.

The Governor also praised Hon. Ali Isa J.C. and Hon. Abdullahi El-Rasheed for their instrumental roles in sponsoring the bills that led to the establishment of the two federal institutions in Gombe State. He acknowledged the invaluable contribution of the leadership and members of the National Assembly in facilitating the passage of the bills.

The Federal College of Education (Special) in Dukku will focus on training teachers for learners with special needs, while the Federal Orthopedic Hospital in Billiri will provide advanced orthopedic and trauma care, reducing the burden on overstretched facilities in other parts of the country.

Governor Inuwa Yahaya emphasized that the developments are in line with his administration's ongoing efforts to strengthen the health and education sectors. He assured the President that the people of Gombe State will continue to support his renewed hope agenda and pledged to provide all necessary support for the smooth takeoff of both institutions.
