FORMER AGF MALAMI CONDEMNS KEBBI ATTACK, CALLS FOR SWIFT ACTION

In a press statement released today, former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, SAN, has strongly condemned the recent attack in Tadurga Ward, Zuru Local Government Area, Kebbi State, which resulted in the tragic loss of nearly 200 innocent lives.

Malami described the attack as a "national catastrophe" that demands swift and decisive action from both the Kebbi State Government and the Federal Government of Nigeria. He extended his heartfelt condolences to the victims' families and prayed for the peaceful repose of the departed souls.

The former AGF lamented the neglect and underdevelopment of the Zuru region, citing the lack of motorable roads, inadequate hospitals, poorly equipped schools, and a fragile security structure. Malami also called on the people of Kebbi State, especially the sons and daughters of Zuru, to remain united, prayerful, and vocal in demanding justice and protection. He urged Nigerians to dedicate the next 24 hours to raising awareness and drawing attention to the plight of the people of Zuru.

The statement concluded with a prayer for Allah's guidance towards justice and protection for the communities affected by the attack.
