Delta State Governor Charges Civil Servants to Enhance Service Delivery

Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has called on civil servants to recommit to efficient and impactful service delivery as the state works towards achieving the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).




Speaking at the 2025 Civil Service Week Celebration in Asaba, Governor Oborevwori emphasized the importance of innovation, discipline, and dedication in the civil service. He described the civil service as the backbone of government and urged civil servants to reciprocate the government's efforts with loyalty, professionalism, and alignment with government policies and goals.

The Governor reaffirmed his administration's commitment to public service reform through the MORE Agenda, focusing on human capital development and staff welfare. He highlighted ongoing investments in modern skills and practices to build a proactive, innovative, and responsive workforce.

Governor Oborevwori charged civil servants to accelerate public service delivery for a sustainable future, as the state has only five years left to achieve the SDGs. He emphasized the need for civil servants to be proactive and responsive to the needs of the people.

The 2025 Civil Service Week Celebration was themed "Five Years to 2030: Accelerating Public Service Delivery for a Sustainable Future." The event brought together civil servants and stakeholders to discuss ways to improve public service delivery and achieve the SDGs.
