Bishop Sam Zuga Responds to Nigerian SEC's Publicity on ZUGACOIN and SAMZUGA GPT
Archbishop Professor Sam Zuga, founder of the Samzuga ecosystem, has expressed appreciation for the significant publicity given to ZUGACOIN and SAMZUGA GPT by the Nigerian Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
In a statement, Bishop Zuga noted that the Samzuga ecosystem has been in existence since December 2020, predating the Nigerian SEC's regulatory framework for cryptocurrencies that was signed into law in 2025. Despite this, the Nigerian SEC has presented a narrative about ZUGACOIN and Samzuga GPT that doesn't entirely align with their actual nature.
According to Bishop Zuga, ZUGACOIN (SZCB) has set a record for its all-time high value, surpassing Bitcoin—a feat unmatched by any cryptocurrency. With a maximum supply of 1 million, ZUGACOIN was exhausted in 2022 and is now exclusively held by users. The contract address for ZUGACOIN is 0x702371e0897F5E2f566B1cE8256856D0549c5857.
Bishop Zuga also clarified that SAMZUGA GPT is not a meme coin but the world's first AI-powered cryptocurrency bank. This innovative project deserves recognition rather than criticism, he emphasized.
Given the circumstances, Bishop Zuga found it peculiar that the Nigerian SEC chose to go public without prior communication, which might suggest a different motivation. He reiterated that the Samzuga ecosystem isn't seeking new participants for ZUGACOIN or SAMZUGA GPT. Instead, updates aim to educate existing members who may have been misinformed.
As the founder, Bishop Zuga highlighted his philanthropic background and commitment to humanitarian services, which are well-documented. ZUGACOIN was distributed freely to members of the Samzuga Foundation Multipurpose Cooperative Society Ltd., leading to the current situation.
While the Samzuga ecosystem isn't licensed in any capital market yet, plans are underway to be listed in the US, UK, UAE, and Nigerian capital markets after the official launch. Currently, the focus is on training users to understand the system.
Bishop Zuga warned that the SEC has advised against purchasing ZUGACOIN or banking with SAMZUGA GPT, especially for Nigerians. However, existing members can access these assets through the links.
Bishop Zuga concluded by urging users to view the provided screenshots critically, understanding that the Nigerian SEC is simply doing its job, much like it did with Binance.
