BENUE PCC CONDEMNS YELLOWATA COMMUNITY ATTACK, CALLS FOR INCREASED SECURITY

The Benue State Office of the Public Complaints Commission (PCC) has strongly condemned the recent attack on the people of Yelewata Community in Guma Local Government Area of Benue State, which resulted in the killing of innocent Nigerians and destruction of property.



In a statement signed by Rt. Hon. Chief James Ogaba Oche, Honourable Federal Commissioner of the PCC, the commission described the attack as "barbaric, archaic, reprehensible, and worrisome". The PCC commiserated with the government and people of Benue State, particularly the victims who lost their lives, loved ones, and properties.


The commission called on government at all levels to intensify security efforts to prevent a possible reoccurrence and to guarantee the protection of lives and properties through credible intelligence gathering and preventive measures.
