Anambra Governor Emphasizes Shared Responsibility in Security

The Governor of Anambra State has underscored the importance of shared responsibility in maintaining security, stressing that citizens must take ownership of their land to combat insecurity.

The Governor made this assertion while receiving a delegation of Ihiala stakeholders, led by Dr. ABC Orjiako, who came to express their gratitude for the administration's ongoing commitment to security, particularly along the Ihiala axis.

The Governor appreciated the stakeholders for recognizing the sacrifices made by security agencies and for standing with the government in the fight against insecurity. He reaffirmed the government's commitment to providing necessary resources and support to keep communities safe.

However, he emphasized that lasting peace requires active involvement of the people. "Government can light the torch, but only the people can keep it burning," he said, urging citizens to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities promptly.

"If you see something, say something," the Governor advised, highlighting the importance of citizen participation in maintaining security. He concluded by expressing optimism for Anambra's continued progress, saying "May Anambra continue to win!"
